College Board
The College Board administers the PSAT, SAT and AP tests. For more information about registering for any of these tests, visit their website.

SAT Bluebook
The SAT is transitioning to a digital format. SAT tests will be taken on devices. For more information, visit the College Board website.
If students want to use a school Chromebook for the test, the SAT Bluebook app is already loaded on their Chromebook. See Kiki Klipfel in the library for more information.
ACT
The ACT test is administered by ACT and is another standardized college admissions test. For more information about registering for the ACT, visit their website.

FAFSA
The FAFSA application is now open. For more information, go to www.fafsa.gov .
For help with FAFSA, students can make an appointment to see Kim StClair, senior counselor, or LBCC high school outreach specialist Levi Pagel. He is in the PHS library on Tuesdays. Students can sign up for an appointment with him on the clipboard in the library or by following this link and selecting a Tuesday appointment.
Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion
To apply for Oregon student aid, visit the Oregon Student Aid site.
CSS Profile
Many private schools require students to file this in addition to the FAFSA. Each year CSS Profile unlocks access to more than $10 billion in non federal aid to thousands of students. Check on your prospective college's requirements before filling out.

Local scholarships
The counseling office maintains a list of local scholarships . For more information, visit the counseling office.
Benton Community Foundation
The Benton Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarship through its online portal. The portal typically opens December 1 and applications are due by February 28.
Philomath Comunity Foundation
The Philomath Community Foundation also offers a variety of scholarships. Their applications typically open January 1 and are due by April 15.
Other sources
The internet can be a valuable resource for locating sources of money for college. Beware of any services that charge a fee for scholarships. You should not have to pay money to get a scholarship.

The Common App - More than 1,000 colleges use this one application. Check to see if your school is listed. Let your counselor know you are using the Common App.
LBCC Outreach Specialist
PHS partners with LBCC to have an outreach specialist visit PHS on Tuesdays in the library. Levi Pagel will be able to help with the College Now program, the Campus High School Programs , FAFSA applications and READ early registration benefits.
To make an appointment with Mr. Pagel, sign up on the clipboard in the library or click on the link to his linktr.ee below and schedule an appointment for a Tuesday.
Preparing for college athletics
NCAA
If you plan to play National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Div 1 or Div 2 sports in college, you must become a "qualifier" through the NCAA Eligibility Center. College-bound athletes have to meet certain requirements in order to participate.
Becoming a college athlete begins by making an appointment with your school counselor. They will be able to guide you on planning your path.
