ACT
The ACT test is administered by ACT and is another standardized college admissions test. For more information about registering for the ACT, visit their website.

Students can also access videos that help explain the FAFSA process produced by Federal Student Aid, the federal agency in charge of FAFSA.
Many private schools require students to file this in addition to the FAFSA. Each year CSS Profile unlocks access to more than $10 billion in non federal aid to thousands of students. Check on your prospective college's requirements before filling out.
ORSAA
Students who are not US Citizens may file the ORSAA which will allow them to receive state grants and scholarships. ORSAA Application.

Benton Community Foundation
The Benton Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarship through its online portal. This year, the portal opens Jan. 5 and applications are due by March 5.
Philomath Comunity Foundation
The Philomath Community Foundation also offers a variety of scholarships. Their applications typically open January 1 and are due by April 15.
Other sources
The internet can be a valuable resource for locating sources of money for college. Beware of any services that charge a fee for scholarships. You should not have to pay money to get a scholarship.

The Common App - More than 1,000 colleges use this one application. Check to see if your school is listed. Let your counselor know you are using the Common App.
PHS partners with LBCC to have an outreach specialist visit PHS on Tuesdays in the library. Levi Pagel will be able to help with the College Now program, the Campus High School Programs, FAFSA applications and READ early registration benefits.

If you plan to play National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Div 1 or Div 2 sports in college, you must become a "qualifier" through the NCAA Eligibility Center. College-bound athletes have to meet certain requirements in order to participate.
Becoming a college athlete begins by making an appointment with your school counselor. They will be able to guide you on planning your path.
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)is the governing body of small athletics programs that are dedicated to character-driven intercollegiate athletics. Since 1937, the NAIA has administered programs dedicated to championships in balance with the overall college educational experience.
