Eagle's Nest Preschool

KVCS offers half-day preschool from 8:30 am - 11:30 am for potty-trained children ages 3 to 5.
According to The Children’s Institute, access to high quality preschool improves kindergarten readiness, success in school (3rd grade achievement), higher graduation and attendance rates, and reduced special education costs (

Children in rural communities may not have as many chances to socialize with other children and end up having a harder time adjusting to school. At Eagle’s Nest Preschool, we focus on learning social and emotional skills like making new friends, understanding feelings, sharing, taking turns, waiting and problem solving.

I'm passionate about the overall health of young children, especially emotional health. I'm working on getting endorsed by the Oregon Infant Mental Health Association - dedicated to promoting the emotional well-being of young children and their families through age 5. I've been working on developing a Family Center next door to the school as a Board member of the Kings Valley Community Trust. We're raising money to bring the building to commercial code so we can host preschool there, as well as other family services like family gatherings and game nights."
