Enrolling at KVCS

If you are looking to enroll at KVCS for the 2023-2024 school year, please fill out the Lotterease form at the website below, but also make sure to enter/select the grade level that your child will be in during 23-24 so you are entered into the correct lottery for that grade level.

KVCS uses Lotterease to document your interest in attending KVCS.  Please use the button below to create an account on the Lotterease website and fill out the information for your student(s).

Filling out this form will put your student into the next lottery when spots become available. Parents are notified via Lotterease if the student is accepted into an opening. Registering with Lotterease does not guarantee a spot will become available.

KVCS honors expulsions that are determined by other school districts. If your student is currently under an expulsion, you need to contact the administration of the district in which the student was expelled to be released to attend Kings Valley Charter School.

You can also email registration@kvschool.org, or call 541.929.2134, to let us know if you would like more information or to schedule a tour.

Some of your questions may be answered by our "Frequently Asked Questions" Page.  Click here for the FAQs.  We can always help answer more specific questions you may have.

How does the lottery process work?

Because we are a charter school, we have limits on our class sizes and a limit on how many students, in total, can attend. A parent or legal guardian should enter the student(s) into Lotterease to be included in the lottery when a spot opens.  If the grade level is full, or if our school is full, you will receive information as spots become available.  When a spot opens, we do a random lottery based on the following priorities.

Priority is given to:

1. Siblings of students currently attending

2. Students who reside within the Philomath School District Boundaries

3. Students who reside in other school districts.

Priority for the next school year is always given to students who are currently attending during enrollment in May.

*if your child is in Lotterease and you change your mind about attending, please let us know as soon as possible. Thank you.

If a spot becomes available for your child, you will receive further information via the Lotterease software/our school office. Please make sure you are receiving the emails that arrive from Lotterease (and that they are not in your spam/junk folders).  You should begin to receive them when you create a Lotterease account.
