Administrative Team

Photo of Athena Lodge Athena Lodge is the Director of Education.  She has primary management responsibilities for teachers, instructional aides, and recess duty people.  She is responsible for student academic progress, curriculum choices, and the implementation of the overall educational program.  You call Athena if you have questions about your students’ academics, grades, or the curriculum.   You can call her if you cannot get what you need from an individual teacher. 
 

Jessica Kinsey is the Dean of Students.   She has primary responsibilities for student behavior and manages the team of people that work with students to improve behavior.  She also has the responsibility to implement 504 plans and work with the school district to implement special education services.  You call Jessica  to report a behavior issue or to discuss your student’s behavior.   You can also discuss 504 plans with her.   You can call her for special education issues if you cannot get a response from the teacher.   
  

Photo of Diana BarnhartDiana Barnhart is a KVCS Board representative and is the primary person on facilities and district relations.  She is a good person to call if you have a complaint with any administrative staff or want to discuss school policy.  
 

 

Mark Hazelton manages financial aspects such as the budget and spending.  As the only employee of the KVCS board, one of Mark’s primary roles is to ensure contractors meet the school's educational mission, including following laws and meeting obligations of the Charter and contracts.   You can call Mark  with general questions or complaints about other administrative staff.
