SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Philomath School Board is responsible for providing a quality educational program for approximately 1,600 students in grades K-12. Their main job is to set District Policy. Board members serve four-year terms on a volunteer basis. 

School Board meetings are currently held the second Thursday of each month at the Philomath High School Community Conference Room at 2054 Applegate St, unless otherwise noted. Regular Board Meetings begin at 7 p.m.

All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions, as authorized by law. Time is set aside at the business meeting for public comments. If you would like to comment during the public comment session, fill in a green card before the meeting and submit it to the board secretary before the meeting. If you would like to submit a comment to the Board via email, please send it to michele.mcrae@philomath.k12.or.us before 3:00 pm the day of the Regular Board Meeting.

Board Policy For Public Complaint Procedure

At this year's Special District Election on May 20, 2025, three School Board seats will be on the ballot, positions 1, 3 and 4. To add your name to the ballot, please visit Benton County Elections here and file an SEL190 form or file by petition. The filing period opens on February 10, 2025 and closes on March 20, 2025. 

Minimum qualifications include:

• You must be a qualified voter in the district
• You must have been a resident for one year by May 20th
• You must not be an employee of the district
