Library Services
The Philomath School District maintains five vibrant and active libraries to serve our students, faculty and staff. The libraries lend books for recreational student reading, provide library instruction, and serve as hubs for the one-to-one student Chromebook program in grades 7-12.
Some of What We Do:
-
Students and staff are welcome to check out library books through the school year.
-
Library staff work to purchase age appropriate books to place in each of our school locations.
-
In our middle and high school libraries, the library staff support students in the one-to-one Chromebook program.
-
Students in grades K-5 have library time each week.
-
In grades 6-12, library visits are arranged as needed with instructors.

Online Library Catalogs
All of the books in the district libraries are included in our online, Destiny Discover catalogs.
Students can search by author, title, subject or genre. The catalogs are very easy to use. There is a search bar at the top. Other features include newly added books and genres. See your school librarian for more information or help.
OSLIS
Oregon students have access to OSLIS, the Oregon School Library Information System. OSLIS includes a library database. It provides access to a variety of magazines, newspapers, journals, encyclopedias, e-books and multimedia content in one location. The sources are included in the database because they are considered reliable.
Students can get to OSLIS by Googling it or using this link:
