2019-2020 SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

I have served on the Philomath School Board of Directors since 2017. My husband and I have two sons that attend schools in the district. Having roots that date back generations in the Philomath area as well as currently serving as the Executive Director of the Philomath Area Chamber of Commerce, I care deeply about this school district and surrounding community. Our youth are the future and we need to provide them with rich learning experiences and every opportunity to receive a high-quality, well-rounded education. I want to help students and staff succeed, and will support them toward that success through the means available to me as a board member. We are fortunate to live and learn in such a great community and I consider it a privilege to serve on the board. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

I have served on the Philomath School Board since 2017. I was born and raised in the Philomath area. My wife Judy and I both graduated from Philomath High School. Judy and I have three children and 10 grandchildren, nine of whom attend Philomath schools. I am a retired U.S. Navy Commander (Aviation) and Senior Systems Engineer (Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems). I also serve on the Corvallis-Benton County Library Advisory Board. I take seriously my commitment to Philomath Schools and our community. We have a tremendous community here with wonderful families and people with a rich and full heritage. I commit my efforts on the school board to provide every student in our district with the resources, assistance, and environment to enable her or him to graduate on time and succeed at the next level of their choosing, whatever that be – college, job, military, or technical training. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

I have served as a board member for the Philomath School District since 2019. My wife and I have two daughters who attend schools in our district. I grew up in Philomath where I attended Philomath schools for the entirety of my K-12 education and graduated from Philomath High School. I believe serving on the school board is an opportunity to give back to our community and the current students in our district. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
